Oasis. Liam and Noel Gallagher on stage

The Gallagher brothers are the 21st century equivalent of Bobby and J.R. Ewing. Their love/hate relationship can be ferocious, but we all know that they love each other deep down. OK, so it’s quite deep, but it’s there nevertheless.

But we’re not buying this for a second. This feud seems to be taking place on social media for the world to see, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if it was all an act to drum up interest in a reunion. The bookies seem to agree with this theory.

Liam Tweeted a cryptic message a few months back – hinting at a possible reunion. But the way I read the situation, Liam would get back together in a heartbeat, but Noel would sooner poke cocktail sticks into his Jap’s eye.

Of course, Noel isn’t one to shy away from a little bravado – stating that he would definitely consider doing an Oasis reunion gig for £20 million.

Liam has been busy promoting the new Oasis movie Supersonic in recent weeks, and he had this to say on Twitter about his brother’s lack of interest in the project:

This new documentary movie is bound to stoke up good and memories for the boys – and the rest of the world. And such feelings can lead to bridges being built and the past being put to rest.

To get Oasis back together, a huge opportunity will need to present itself. It’s worth noting that there will be no Glastonbury in 2018, so my money is on Oasis headlining the Pyramid Stage on the last night of 2017’s event. And the bookies seem to agree, with most of them making a reunion an odds-on probability.
